GC Touch 3-1
The entire house is one zone, with a dark screen mode.
- 2GIG GC Touch panel
- 3 door or window contacts
- 1 motion detector
- Front, back, and garage entry
SmartSpace Automation designs two residential alarm packages for homes across Dallas and North Texas. Both are a 3-1: three door or window contacts and one motion. The GC Touch sees the entire house as one zone, so the home arms together. The EDGE can see the house as multiple zones. The bedrooms can stay unarmed while a downstairs zone stays armed.
Get a QuoteA 3-1 counts three contacts and one motion. The panel is separate from that count. Monitoring is its own monthly service.

Same 3-1 sensors. The house can be multiple zones, so the bedrooms can stay unarmed while a downstairs zone stays armed.
Three of these. Front door, back door, and the garage entry.
One of these, on the room or hall people have to cross.
These are built into the panel SmartSpace installs.
The 3-1 is where SmartSpace starts. Ask us to add any of these.
Both packages use the same 3-1 sensors. The GC Touch sees the entire house as one zone. When that zone is armed, the whole home is armed. The EDGE can see the house as multiple zones, up to four. The bedrooms can stay unarmed while a downstairs zone stays armed. A home office, a guest suite, or a parent’s rooms can be their own zone and stay lived-in while the rest of the house is armed. That is also how age-in-place works.

SmartSpace places the third contact on the garage entry. On a home with no door from the garage, that contact goes on the side door or the most exposed first-floor window.
SmartSpace matches both panels to one carrier, Verizon or AT&T. Both packages ship 345S sensors, 2GIG-DW100-345 and 2GIG-PIR100-345. The EDGE panel also supports E+ Long Range sensors, 2GIG-DW10E-900 and 2GIG-PIR1E-900. Those are not in this 3-1.

SmartSpace can add an encrypted keyfob later. Labor, cable, and central-station monitoring are on the SmartSpace proposal, separate from these packages. This is residential security. SmartSpace does not provide commercial fire alarm.
